Sydney's Backyard Ultra is based at the scenic St. Ives Showground starting 5 October 2024.

A Backyard Ultra is a form of ultramarathon race where competitors must consecutively run a 6.71km course every hour, on the hour, in an epic showdown until only one remains.

The course, based from the main oval, is 98% fire trail and grass with some tarmac.

The top male and female runners, those last standing, will each receive a grand prize of $1000.
